Canadian Mini Indy – Championship Race

October 26 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

$150.00

Registration: 8:00am – 9:00am
Racing starts: 9:30am

Everyone is welcome to run the Championship – if you have not finished a regular season, or missed the semis – YOU CAN STILL PARTICIPATE.

– Racers running for Overall Seasonal Championship (meaning complete season and “Full Championship”) will not have their championship affected by someone not competing for a Full Championship.

Pre-book online – for those that can book online, please do, as this helps us to balance the two championship days so we are prepared for how many people are planning on coming each day!

Championship Format

– We will be running the Championship Track for all the races

– The format will be a Morning warm up / Practice session, 3 races in the morning and 3 races in the afternoon.

– POINT STRUCTURE IS DOUBLE POINTS WITH EACH RACE ACTING AS A FINAL

– We will NOT be breaking for a lunch break, in order to keep things running on time.  Everyone will have ample time to hydrate and eat in between groups. The snack bar will be open all day for lunch, beverages and snacks.

Championship Supplementary Rules

– Everyone will be allowed one drop RACE in the Championship.  Meaning – you will run 6 races, of the six races you can drop you worst race i.e. best 5 results will be counted for all participants.

– No one is permitted in the pit area unless their group has been called to the grid by the Grid Marshal

– Karts will be rotated, the Grid Marshal will issue karts for adults and kids kart distribution will be conducted as it has been for the whole season

– Any persons in the grid when they are not called upon to be in the grid will be issued a a 2 position penalty. This applies to everyone.

– The Race Director is off limits as the race day must stay on course. Discrepancies can be protested using the Protest/Appeals Protocols set out by our ASN.

Remember, the race director is doing the same job as a referee at a hockey game – you may not always agree with their call but they call what they see.  Appreciate how often a call is overturned in a game.

– FAILURE TO FINISH DUE TO AN ACCIDENT IS NOT CONSIDERED A MECHANICAL FINISH.

–  MECHANICAL FINISHES ARE DETERMINED BY THE MECHANICS NOT BY THE DRIVERS. NO EXCEPTIONS

– Please govern yourself with good sportsmanship and remember this is a FAMILY ENVIRONMENT

– The above are supplementary rules, please note the 2024 Canadian Mini Indy Rules Package will be followed.
The Staff is spending the week prior to the Championship testing each kart on the transponder system. If needed, any adjustments to the karts will be made to ensure they are equal. The staff along with Trevor are a great group of individuals that work hard and take pride in the fleet.  Small deficiencies happen from time to time for numerous reasons.  We ask that members respect this and consider their concerns with karts carefully before bringing a kart in.  Valid concerns are taken seriously and tended to with care.
We simply ask for your consideration and appreciation.
