Hamilton History
For over 30 years, Hamilton Karting Complex has been a cornerstone of the Ontario karting world, dedicated to the thrill and passion of the sport. Since opening in 1982, we’ve gone through many transformations—track layouts, names, and facilities—but our commitment to karting and to our racers has never wavered. We live and breathe karting, and every decision we make is focused on providing the best experience for karters. We remain dedicated to investing in our track and facilities, refusing to cut corners in our mission to be Ontario’s premier karting destination.
Throughout our history, veteran racers may remember us as Cameron Motorsport Park, a name we proudly held for years. We also pioneered one of the province’s earliest arrive-and-drive leagues, originally called the Canadian Rookie Karting Championship, now known as the Canadian Mini Indy. Today, Hamilton Karting Complex continues to serve as a hub for aspiring karters and seasoned racers alike. Our National Race team has deep roots here, nurturing talents who have gone on to make their mark in motorsports. We know many future stars are honing their skills on our track as we speak.
In 2023, we rebuilt and expanded our track, updating its layout and surface to enhance the racing experience. In 2024, we introduced the Pixelcom Digital Marshalling system and completed additional track and paddock upgrades, ensuring our facility remains top-tier for both casual drivers and competitive racers. This commitment to quality and innovation led to our selection as the host for the 2023 and 2024 Canadian National Karting Championships. If you haven’t visited recently, we invite you to come see what’s new. At Hamilton Karting Complex, the next chapter of Ontario karting is always unfolding—come be a part of it!
Our Track
Our track has gone through many revisions over the years to get to where we are today. Always pushing for more and for a greater racing experience for both our Arrive and Drive (Canadian Mini Indy) as well as our Private Karting League (HRKC)
