Ontario Inter-Club Challenge Returns to Hamilton for the 2026 Season Finale

The Ontario Inter-Club Challenge returns to Hamilton Karting Complex on September 5–6 for the third and final round of the 2026 season.

With championship standings tight across the classes and plenty still to be decided, the season finale is shaping up to be a big weekend. Strong results in Hamilton could make all the difference as drivers battle for race wins, championship podiums and the final positions in the 2026 standings.

Hamilton Karting Complex is coming fresh off two of the biggest events on our calendar, Kartfest and the Canadian Karting Championship, meaning many of the drivers heading into the Inter-Club finale have already logged plenty of laps around Hamilton this summer. With championships on the line and a familiar track for much of the field, we’re expecting some incredible racing throughout the weekend.

Saturday Practice – September 5

Saturday will give drivers plenty of opportunity to get dialed in before race day.

Gates open at 8:00 a.m., with on-track activity beginning at 10:00 a.m. Each class will receive six 10-minute practice sessions, providing a full hour of track time throughout the day.

Practice runs from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., with sessions for:

• Briggs Junior
• Briggs Senior
• Briggs Junior Lite
• Briggs Masters / Heavy
• Briggs Cadet

Due to the expected field sizes, Senior and Cadet are divided into groups throughout Saturday’s practice schedule.

Sunday Race Day – September 6

Sunday is championship day.

The official race-day schedule begins with gates opening at 6:45 a.m., followed by registration and the drivers’ briefing before cars hit the track for timed practice at 8:30 a.m.

Drivers will then move into 5-minute qualifying sessions, with the large Senior and Cadet fields split into qualifying groups.

From there, the format provides plenty of racing. The day includes heat races, followed by Super Heats and the all-important Finals.

Main Event distances range from 12 to 15 laps, depending on class, with the Senior Main Event scheduled for 15 laps to close out the racing.

Once the final checkered flag falls, the weekend will conclude with the Inter-Club Challenge podium and 2026 Championship presentations.

Championship Battles Come Down to Hamilton

There is still plenty to race for heading into the finale.

The standings remain close across the classes, and a strong weekend in Hamilton could significantly change the championship order. With race wins, championship podiums and season-ending bragging rights all on the line, every session will matter.
