Darren White
Darren is one of the most respected and experienced coaches on any karting grid. After an impressive career as a driver, he transitioned into coaching and has become one of the most sought-after driver development coaches in the sport.
He has coached world champions, helped drivers earn countless wins, and is known for finding the final hundredths needed at the highest levels of competition. Darren is also an expert in kart setup and is well versed in both 2-stroke and 4-stroke karting across Canada, the United States, and internationally.
David Barnes
David is a veteran driver and coach who has been a staple of Hamilton Karting Complex for over 10 years. He is one of the few drivers to win both a Canadian National Championship and a KartStars National Championship.
Alongside years of coaching experience, David is also an expert mechanic who can assist with kart setup and tuning to ensure your equipment is dialed in for race day.
Nicholas Hornbostel
Nicholas has over 10 years of racing experience, having competed internationally in both karts and cars. He has translated that knowledge into coaching drivers of all ages and experience levels.
He has worked with countless drivers who have progressed through karting and into car racing. In 2025, Nicholas coached drivers to Canadian Championship and Canadian Open wins, earning tickets to the Rotax Grand Finals and ROK Superfinal.
Owen McCarthy
Owen is an experienced Briggs racer who competes at every major Briggs event and is consistently in the top five and in the mix for wins.
His smart, aggressive, and disciplined driving style makes him a great coach for developing Briggs drivers. Owen’s no-nonsense, down-to-earth approach helps drivers shortcut their development by learning from his years of racing at the front.
Ryan Maxwell
Ryan Maxwell is a 2-time Canadian National Champion, 2-time Canadian Open Champion, and has twice represented Team Canada at the RMC Grand Finals.
Ryan specializes in Rotax racing and works closely with drivers to improve racecraft, consistency, confidence, and overall performance in 2-stroke competition.
Logan Pacza
Logan has achieved success in every category he has raced and currently competes in Briggs Senior and Rotax Senior. His experience across multiple classes allows him to coach drivers at every stage of development.
In addition to karting, Logan is also a Canadian F1600 Champion, accomplished sim racer, and someone who takes the mental side of racing extremely seriously.
Mitchell Morrow
Mitchell is a Briggs expert with a strong focus on kart setup and making sure your kart is optimized for the changing conditions throughout the race day.
A former Canadian National Champion and Canadian Open Champion, Mitchell is a great fit for aspiring Briggs racers looking to improve pace, consistency, and confidence.
Ari Theodoropoulos
Ari specializes in improving racing lines, overtaking techniques, racecraft, and on-track decision making. He is both a Canadian National Champion and National Series Champion.
Ari also holds the unique distinction of being the only driver to win five consecutive HRKC club championships, proving his consistency and skill around Hamilton Karting Complex.
Jackson “Jacko 500” Morley
Jacko may be the youngest member of the coaching team, but he already owns two Canadian National Championships along with nearly 100 podiums and more than 35 race wins.
Having raced through Cadet, Mini, Junior, Senior, Briggs, Rotax, and now cars, Jackson brings modern experience and a relatable coaching style for younger drivers looking to improve quickly.
