While many of us have been enjoying the off-season to recharge, two HRKC drivers have been doing anything but resting. Instead, they’ve been racking up the airmiles, chasing competition across North America, and putting in the kind of hard work that turns promising racers into serious contenders. This winter, Yousef Adi and Leonardo Serravalle have taken on the biggest 2-stroke races the U.S. has to offer—and they’re coming into 2024 faster, sharper, and hungrier than ever.
Yousef Adi – From HRKC Briggs Champ to International Contender
In 2024, Yousef Adi made waves in his first year of competitive karting by winning the HRKC Briggs Cadet Championship. But when the season ended, Yousef wasn’t done—he was just getting started.
What followed was a non-stop journey through some of the toughest series on the continent. Since the HRKC season wrapped up, Yousef has raced nearly every engine package and lined up in nearly every major series: CKNA, WKA, ROK Cup, SKUSA, RMC Winter Trophy, RMC West, USPKS, STARS—you name it, he was there.
It all began with the CKNA Grand Nationals, but the real mileage started stacking up over the winter. Yousef’s performances have been nothing short of impressive, with highlights like:
- P9 at WKA
- P2 at CKNA Winter Nationals
- Top 10 finish in Race 3 of the RMC Winter Trophy
- P2 in the RMC USA West Championship
He’s also been making serious noise in both the STARS and USPKS series, consistently running with the front pack and proving he belongs among North America’s best.
Now, with his first full season in Rotax Mini Max ahead, Yousef is more prepared than ever. He’s been battle-tested against the continent’s finest and will be one to watch not just at HRKC but across all major Canadian events in 2025.
Leonardo Serravalle – Fast in Briggs, Flying in 2-Stroke
Leonardo Serravalle has always had pace. He was a podium regular in the Briggs categories at HRKC, finishing P2 in Jr. Lite in 2023 and P2 in Jr. in 2024. But this offseason, Leo took a big step, fully committing to 2-stroke racing.
And he didn’t dip his toe in—he dove in headfirst.
Much like Yousef, Leo’s schedule has been jam-packed with high-level racing. Over the past few months, he’s taken on SKUSA, ROK Cup, STARS, RMC and more, learning from the best and improving with every lap.
The payoff? It’s already showing. Most recently, Leo scored a Top 5 finish at a major SKUSA event, a clear sign that his development is accelerating fast.
With his first full year in 2-stroke racing now underway, Leo enters the HRKC Rotax Junior field sharper, smarter, and more competitive than ever. It’s going to be a deep field this year, but don’t be surprised to see Leo near the front from the jump.
The Grind Pays Off – Season Starts Now
The offseason grind is finally coming to an end, and the 2024 HRKC season is about to begin. First up is Collective Practice Day this weekend, followed by Race 1 next week, where both Yousef and Leo will return to their home track, now as experienced 2-stroke racers with a winter full of battle scars and breakthroughs.
It’s going to be an incredible season at HRKC, and thanks to young talents like Yousef Adi and Leonardo Serravalle, the competition is heating up fast.
